Chicken Mince Pulao
This is one
of those self invented recipes that turn out surprisingly well. Apart from
being a simple & superb casserole & gets done in a jiffy. High on taste
it can also make a great Sunday lunch option for family & friends followed
by a couple of hours of siesta after such a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg chicken mince
- 1 cup rice
- 2 onions
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 5 green cardamoms
- 5 cloves
- 5-6 black pepper
- 2" cinnamon sticks
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp red chilly garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp fennel seed powder
- 1/2 tsp sambhar powder
- 1 tsp chilly powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Method
Soak rice
for 1/2 hour. Take 2 tbsp oil & in a pressure cooker sauté` onions, cumin
seeds & whole garam masalas till golden brown & aroma rises. Add ginger
garlic & chilly garlic paste, turmeric, chilly powder, fennel powder,
sambhar & sauté`. Add diced tomatoes & simmer till oil separates. Add
chicken mince & stir. Add rice & 2 cups water & pressure cook for
3/4 whistles. Serve hot. Best eaten freshly cooked with a light salad or fresh
yogurt
