Chicken Mince Pulao

This is one of those self invented recipes that turn out surprisingly well. Apart from being a simple & superb casserole & gets done in a jiffy. High on taste it can also make a great Sunday lunch option for family & friends followed by a couple of hours of siesta after such a satisfying meal.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 kg chicken mince
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 5 green cardamoms
  • 5 cloves
  • 5-6 black pepper
  • 2" cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilly garlic paste 
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seed powder
  • 1/2 tsp sambhar powder
  • 1 tsp chilly powder
  • Salt to taste
  •  2 tbsp oil
Method

Soak rice for 1/2 hour. Take 2 tbsp oil & in a pressure cooker sauté` onions, cumin seeds & whole garam masalas till golden brown & aroma rises. Add ginger garlic & chilly garlic paste, turmeric, chilly powder, fennel powder, sambhar & sauté`. Add diced tomatoes & simmer till oil separates. Add chicken mince & stir. Add rice & 2 cups water & pressure cook for 3/4 whistles. Serve hot. Best eaten freshly cooked with a light salad or fresh yogurt
